McAllister Bros Limited have been working tirelessly through 2019 and into 2020 to deliver critical infrastructure maintenance projects which will protect and secure environmental assets for many years to come. Working collaboratively with our clients through early engagement has allowed for increased efficiency by being able to plan works effectively. This has in turn allowed our clients to maximise their budget and maintain more of their infrastructure.
The high-level scope was to locate, clean, survey and recommend rehabilitation/repair solutions (if required) for culverts ranging from 600mm to 1600mmø. This information was then presented to the client who had the final signoff.
The project included a scoping phase where we had to locate specific culverts in an extremely rural environment, manage the flow, clean the culverts and then carry out a CCTV survey. The survey allowed for the condition of the culverts to be assessed. The dimensions of the culverts were recorded for local records to be validated but also confirmed liner dimensions and length should a rehabilitation solution be recommended.
Once the scoping phase was complete a programme of rehabilitation (for the culverts that’s required it) was presented to the asset owner and the programme was fully costed. Once again productivity was key, the programme provided a cost which the client had a budget for. McAllister’s Project Manager owned the project from inception and managed it through to delivery giving the client comfort that we understood the project and could deliver what was promised with no internal hand-offs.
